This past Monday, we received feedback from our long-term partner, Mr. Feng, regarding an issue with one of their diagonal cutting machines—specifically, deviations in the cutting angle and uneven, tilted cut surfaces. Drawing on our industry experience, we promptly initiated a thorough, professional analysis.

Cutting surface angle deviations typically stem from two core factors: equipment malfunction or saw blade issues.

From an equipment perspective, ensuring that the material being cut is perfectly horizontal is fundamental to maintaining precision. If the material is positioned at an angle, the cutting surface will inevitably become tilted. At the same time, the material must maintain a standard 90-degree angle relative to the saw blade—this is crucial for achieving a perfectly vertical and smooth cut. Any deviation from this 90-degree angle will directly result in an angled cut surface. At the root of the issue, factors often include unevenness in the feeding mechanism or workbench, insufficient clamping pressure from the material-pressing device, or wear and tear caused by prolonged use of the mold.

If the mechanical device is operating normally, the issue likely lies with the aluminum alloy saw blade. As a critical wear component, the saw blade gradually becomes dull after prolonged, high-intensity use, leading to a significant increase in friction. Continuing to use a dulled blade not only causes deformation of the base material but may also result in problems such as tooth loss or chipping, ultimately causing the cutting surface to tilt and produce burrs.

The proper approach in this case is to promptly remove the dull saw blade from operation and have it professionally sharpened. If the damage is severe and irreparable, it should be decisively scrapped and replaced with a new blade. This way, cutting quality can be restored, and issues such as uneven cut surfaces and burrs will be effectively addressed.
